On the Way Home Ministry is more than just a food pantry—it’s God’s place. Founded by Diane Walker, we serve the people of the Jim Ned Valley who may not qualify for other services in Abilene, Texas, offering food and support with love and dignity.

Our name reflects our belief that we are all just backpackers in this world—our true home is in heaven. As we share food with those in need, we also share the hope of Christ, the promise of what He did for us at the cross, and the joy of knowing that a great day is coming. This world isn’t all there is, and until we reach our true home, we’re here to walk alongside our neighbors with compassion and faith.
